Who is the Joomla enterprise cloud for?
The enterprise cloud is designed for Joomla projects where downtime would be costly: large portals, business-critical company websites, shops based on Joomla and cluster solutions. It runs on the Virtuozzo Enterprise Cloud with redundant infrastructure and flexible resources. For smaller projects our Joomla hosting or a Joomla vServer is usually enough.
What is the difference between VEP Cloud Silver and VEP Cloud Gold?
Both run on the same highly available platform. VEP Cloud Silver offers a stated availability of 99.9%. VEP Cloud Gold reaches 99.99% and adds geo-redundancy as well as a backup in an independent data centre. We recommend Gold if your website must keep running even after a major incident at one location and your data should also be backed up in a physically separate place.
Which size do I need?
The configurations range from S with 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM to XXL with 16 vCPU and 32 GB RAM, each with 64 GB NVMe storage. S suits business-critical websites with moderate traffic, M and L larger portals and shops, XL and XXL busy or data-intensive projects. We are happy to advise you based on your current load.
Can I adjust the resources later?
Yes. On the enterprise cloud we adjust CPU, memory and storage without reinstalling. If the load rises, we increase the resources without your website having to be set up again. If even XXL is not enough, we plan an individual environment or a cluster with load balancing together with you.
Why is the term 12 months?
The configurations of the enterprise cloud are designed for long-term, business-critical operation and are offered with a 12-month term. This allows us to provide the stated availability and the redundant infrastructure it requires at predictable monthly prices. For individual requirements we are happy to prepare a dedicated quote for you.
