When is VNC350 worth it compared to VNC250?
When more than about 50 users work regularly, many edit documents in the browser at the same time, or syncing becomes noticeably slower at the start of the working day. VNC350 doubles CPU cores and memory to 8 cores and 16 GB RAM. This mainly benefits office in the browser, the database and the previews Nextcloud creates for photos and documents.
How much storage does a company of this size need?
That depends heavily on what your employees store: office documents need little space, while image data, videos or design drawings need a lot. 100 GB is included, and you add further storage in steps of 50 GB, independently of the server size. If you are planning to migrate large amounts of data, we are happy to estimate your requirements together with you.
Do I get root access?
No. VNC350 is a managed server: we handle installation, updates and monitoring, so root access is not included. You manage Nextcloud conveniently via the web interface, where you create users, groups and shares. For you this means no effort for patches and maintenance. If you need additional Nextcloud apps or a special configuration, we set them up for you by arrangement.
What is the contract term?
The minimum term is 3 months. VNC350 costs 129,71 € per month or 1.478,69 € per year, both including 19% VAT. 100 GB storage is included, and each additional 50 GB costs 3,57 € per month. Can I switch later?
Yes. If your team grows or more colleagues use office in the browser, you move to a larger Nextcloud server. Your files, users and shares are kept. You expand the storage independently of this in steps of 50 GB. For very large or business-critical environments we run Nextcloud with high availability on our VEP Cloud on request.
