If things get tight, you can move to the VS350 with twice the resources at any time.
What does the VS250 offer compared with the VS150?
The VS250 offers twice as many CPU cores, twice as much memory and twice as much NVMe storage as the VS150. That makes the difference as soon as the web server, database and cache work under load at the same time. While the VS150 is mainly intended for tests and lean services, the VS250 is designed for running web applications and several websites in production – which is why it is our recommendation.
Do I get full root access on the VS250?
Yes. With the VS250 you have full root access and therefore full control over operating system, software and configuration. This also means you are responsible for updates and security yourself; on request we install the package updates with our update service for 11,90 € per month (RPM-based: AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream, Fedora). If you prefer to hand over operation completely, the managed vServer VSM250 with the same 4 cores and 8 GB RAM is the right alternative: there we take care of installation, updates and monitoring.
What is the contract term for the VS250?
The minimum term is 3 months. The VS250 costs 46,46 € per month or 557,48 € per year, each including VAT. If 4 cores and 8 GB RAM are no longer enough, you move to the VS350 with 8 cores, 16 GB RAM and 320 GB NVMe – we take care of the move for you.
