You can create as many users, repositories and organisations as you like – in every plan. The plans differ only in the disk space your repositories use. So you do not pay per user and never have to budget separately for new colleagues or external partners. When your team grows or new projects come along, simply add them in the web interface. Only when storage runs low do you need to move to a larger plan.

You access your repositories via HTTPS or via SSH with public/private key – just as you are used to with Git. SSH key access is particularly suited to server synchronisation and automatic deployments, because no passwords need to be stored. The Git web browser also lets you view files and versions right in your browser, even without a locally installed client. Custom hooks additionally enable notifications or automated workflows.

Your data is well protected with us: access is encrypted via HTTPS or SSH and can additionally be secured with two-factor authentication and public keys. The servers are located in German data centres and run as a highly available cluster, and your repositories are backed up daily. In addition, our servers run as a highly available cluster: if one machine fails, the second takes over almost instantly. Then you simply move to a larger plan with more disk space – at any time. Space is mainly taken up by long histories, many branches and binary files, while the source code itself is usually small.
