Is the BusinessPaket enough for my project?
The BusinessPaket is designed for 3 domains with 40 GB storage and 40 mailboxes plus 20 MySQL databases. That suits most projects of this size. If you need more domains, mailboxes or storage, you can move to a larger plan at any time without data loss. Our specialists are happy to advise you on the right plan for your project.
Can I test the BusinessPaket for free first?
Yes. You can test the BusinessPaket free of charge and without obligation for one month: click “Try free for 1 month” or tick the trial option in the order form. During the trial you check whether 3 domains, 40 GB of storage and 40 mailboxes are enough for your project. After the trial period you receive an email. If you want to continue, book the BusinessPaket for 11,90 € per month incl. VAT – your data and access details are kept. If you do not reply, the trial plan is deleted and there are no costs. One trial plan is possible per customer.
What can I do with SSH access?
With SSH access you work directly on the command line: you clone repositories via Git, install dependencies with Composer, npm, pip or Bundler, run database migrations and check log files. This also lets you run applications in Ruby on Rails, Node.js or Python. The smaller plans do not include SSH access.
Can I separate test and live environments?
Yes. Create a subdomain such as test.your-company.com with its own database for your test environment. There you try out updates, new features or designs without putting the live website at risk. With 20 MySQL databases and unlimited subdomains, the BusinessPaket offers enough room for several projects, each with its own test environment.
Can I install WordPress or Joomla?
Yes. With the included MySQL databases you run WordPress, Joomla and other content management systems. If you want an environment tailored to them with a toolkit for installing, updating and securing, we recommend our WordPress web hosting or Joomla hosting at the same fair prices.
Can I use Ruby on Rails or Node.js?
Yes. The BusinessPaket includes SSH access and supports Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Node.js. Rails applications run with Phusion Passenger, Node.js applications are activated in Plesk. Via SSH and Git you deploy your applications directly from your repository, install gems and npm packages and run migrations. MySQL databases, email and daily backups are included too. Can I run Laravel with the BusinessPaket?
Yes. The BusinessPaket includes the Laravel Toolkit in Plesk: with it you install dependencies via Composer, run Artisan commands such as migrations, set up the scheduler and deploy your application from Git. You also work on the command line via SSH and build the frontend assets of your application with Node.js. 20 MySQL databases for your Laravel projects are included.
Can I build my website with a website builder?
Yes. The BusinessPaket includes Sitejet Builder, a website builder in Plesk. You design your website by drag and drop from ready-made templates and sections, without any programming skills. On request the AI assistant creates a first draft with page structure and copy from a few details such as name, industry and a short description, which you then adapt. When publishing, the builder replaces the files of the domain – so for each domain you use either the builder or a CMS such as WordPress. More about the website builder
How is my data backed up?
We back up your websites and data daily. In addition, they are stored redundantly on brand-name hardware, so even the failure of a single component does not lead to data loss. The hosting servers run as a highly available cluster: if one machine fails, the second takes over almost instantly. This keeps your website reliably available.
Can I move from the BusinessPaket to a larger plan later?
Yes, at any time. If 3 domains, 40 GB of storage and 40 mailboxes are no longer enough, you move to the BusinessPaket Pro with 6 domains, 80 GB of storage and 80 mailboxes.
