Can I use SVN and Git at the same time?
Yes. Every ReposOnly plan lets you manage Subversion and Git repositories together in one interface – at no extra cost and without a second contract. This is ideal if your team still maintains older projects in SVN while starting new ones in Git. You create users, groups and permissions centrally in SVNDevAdmin, and WebSVN and GITWeb let you browse both repository types right in your browser.
How do I access my repositories?
You access your repositories via HTTPS with an official SSL certificate – using any common SVN or Git client. You can also view files and versions right in your browser via WebSVN and GITWeb, even without a locally installed client. Custom hook scripts, for example for commit emails, let you integrate the repositories into your workflows. If you need SSH access for Git, our Git hosting is the right choice.
What happens when my storage is full?
We do not block access, because ReposOnly has no hard storage limit. When you reach the disk space of your plan, you receive an info email and your team keeps working without interruption – so releases and deadlines are never at risk. Yes, all repositories are backed up daily and stored on our highly redundant platform. On top of that, our hosting servers run as a cluster: if one machine fails, the second takes over almost instantly. Since SVN and Git already keep your complete version history, your source code is protected twice – by version control itself and by our daily backups in German data centres. That way you can focus entirely on development.
