Do I need PHP or a database for an HTML website?
No. A website made of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is delivered directly as files and needs neither PHP nor a database. That is why the Micropaket with your own domain, five mailboxes and 200 MB storage is already enough. If you later want a contact form with PHP or a database, move to the PowerPaket without data loss.
Can I test the plan for free first?
Yes. You can test the plan free of charge and without obligation for one month: click “Try free for 1 month” or tick the trial option in the order form. After the trial period you receive an email. If you want to continue, book the plan – your data and access details are kept. If you do not reply, the trial plan is deleted and there are no costs. One trial plan is possible per customer.
Can I host React, Vue or Astro sites?
Yes, if you build the site statically. React, Vue, Astro and other generators produce finished HTML, CSS and JavaScript files during the build, which you upload – for example the content of the dist folder. If your application needs its own Node.js server instead, for example for server-side rendering, use the BusinessPaket with SSH and Node.js.
How do I upload my website?
You upload your files via FTP or conveniently in the Plesk file manager. From the BusinessPaket you also have SSH access and can roll out your website via Git or build it with Node.js directly on the server. You also set up your domain and mailboxes in Plesk.
Is the Micropaket enough for my website?
For most static websites, yes: 200 MB storage is enough for many pages with optimised images, plus one domain and five mailboxes. If you have many large images, videos or downloads, the PowerPaket with 20 GB offers much more space. You can switch at any time without data loss.
