When should I move from VJEN 250 to VJEN 350?
When your team regularly waits for free executors, builds take noticeably longer or several compute-intensive pipelines run at the same time. VJEN 350 doubles the CPU cores, memory and NVMe storage compared with VJEN 250. This allows more builds to run in parallel, and large projects compile faster. You can move to the larger server at any time – we plan the switch together with you.
Can Jenkins on VJEN 350 update tickets in Redmine?
Yes, Jenkins and Redmine complement each other well. With suitable Jenkins plugins, build results can be linked to tickets so that your team sees in project management which build implemented a task. You run Redmine as Redmine hosting, on your own Redmine server or, by arrangement, directly on your Jenkins server. We are happy to set up the connection for you.
Do I get root access?
No. You work via SSH; we handle installation, updates and monitoring. VJEN 350 is a managed server: because we take responsibility for secure operation, root access is not included. For you this means no effort for patches and maintenance, and more time for your projects. If you need additional software or a special configuration, our specialists set it up for you by arrangement.
Can you install additional applications?
Yes, by arrangement – for example Jenkins plugins, build tools or Redmine. This turns your server into a complete development and project environment, looked after by a single provider.
