Is 4,000 MB enough for my projects?
That mainly depends on attachments and repositories. Tickets, wiki pages and comments take up very little space, whereas large attachments and extensive repositories need considerably more. Projects, users and traffic are unlimited in every plan – so you only pay for the storage you actually need. If needed, you can move to a larger plan at any time without data loss. Compare all plans
How do I link Git commits to tickets in Redmine Basic?
Simply mention the ticket number in the commit message, for example “refs #123”. Redmine then shows the commit directly in the ticket, and your team sees at a glance which code changes belong to which task. This works for SVN and Git repositories alike, which are unlimited in Redmine Basic and fully integrated into Redmine. The result is complete traceability from requirement to code.
What uses the most storage in Redmine Basic?
In practice it is almost always attachments and repositories. Tickets, comments and wiki pages are plain text and need hardly any space. Large graphics, videos, office documents or binary files in the repository, on the other hand, fill the storage quickly. With 4,000 MB, teams with many attachments have plenty of headroom. If space runs short, add storage or move to Redmine Pro without data loss.
