Is VJEN 450 suitable as a central CI platform for several teams?
Yes. With 16 guaranteed CPU cores, 32 GB RAM and 320 GB NVMe storage, VJEN 450 offers enough headroom for many parallel builds from different teams. Using folders, permissions and views in Jenkins, you keep each team’s pipelines clearly separated. We install additional plugins and build tools by arrangement so that every team gets the right environment for its projects.
What if even VJEN 450 is no longer enough?
For very large build environments we run Jenkins on request with high availability on our VEP cloud – including several build agents for many parallel builds. There, CPU, memory and storage can be adjusted without hardware changes or downtime. If you want to run build agents as containers, Kubernetes is another option. Our specialists plan the right environment together with you.
Do I get root access?
No. You work via SSH; we handle installation, updates and monitoring. VJEN 450 is a managed server: because we take responsibility for secure operation, root access is not included. For you this means no effort for patches and maintenance, and more time for your projects. If you need additional software or a special configuration, our specialists set it up for you by arrangement.
Can you install additional applications?
Yes, by arrangement – for example Jenkins plugins, build tools or Redmine. This turns your server into a complete development and project environment, looked after by a single provider.
