We set up Java (JDK) and Apache Tomcat in the version you need and keep the operating system, Java and Tomcat up to date.
You deploy your application via SSH, via the Tomcat Manager or from your CI/CD pipeline. We monitor the server and apply kernel security updates with KernelCare without a reboot. Add Plesk and Acronis Backup whenever you need them. The server is located in a German data centre, and you can test it free of charge for one month.

VJAVA450 offers 16 CPU cores, 32 GB of memory and 320 GB NVMe reserved for your application. Memory is usually the deciding factor, shared by Java, Tomcat and your application. Use the free trial month to check how your application behaves under real conditions. If it keeps growing, you move to a larger Java server or to the VEP Cloud.
Can I test VJAVA450 for free first?
Yes. You can test VJAVA450 free of charge and without obligation for one month: click “Try free for 1 month” or tick the trial option in the order form. During the trial you deploy your application and check whether memory and CPU cores are sufficient. After the trial period you receive an email. If you want to continue, book VJAVA450 – your data and access details are kept. If you do not reply, the trial plan is deleted and there are no costs. One trial plan is possible per customer.

How do I deploy my application?
You upload your application as a WAR file in the Tomcat Manager or copy it to the server via SSH. From a CI/CD pipeline, for example with GitLab, you deploy automatically via SSH. The Tomcat Manager shows which applications are running, and you can reload or stop them. Our specialists are happy to help you personally with the initial setup.
Can I move from VJAVA450 to a larger plan later?
Yes. VJAVA450 is our largest Java server. If your application needs more, we plan Java on the VEP Cloud or an individual environment with you. Your application and data are kept, and we plan the switch personally with you so that the interruption is as short as possible.
