CI/CD hosting: Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
Automatic builds, tests and deployments save your team repetitive manual work and reveal errors early. We run your CI/CD environment: Jenkins on your own managed server, GitLab with integrated CI/CD, your own GitLab runners on root vServers or build agents as containers on our VEP Cloud – securely in Germany and with personal support.
Jenkins connects existing build tools and SVN repositories flexibly, GitLab combines repositories and pipelines in one tool, your own GitLab runners bring guaranteed performance to your pipelines, and with Kubernetes build agents run as containers. SonarQube checks code quality with every build.

Frequently asked questions about CI/CD
What is CI/CD?
CI/CD stands for continuous integration and continuous delivery or deployment. With every change to the source code, a server automatically builds and tests your software and can then deliver it. This lets you catch errors early, save repetitive manual steps and ship more reliably. Typical tools are Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD, both of which we run as a managed service on servers in Germany. Ask for advice
What is Jenkins?
Jenkins is an open-source server for continuous integration (CI). It builds and tests your software automatically, for example after every commit, and can then deliver it. This lets you catch errors early, save repetitive manual steps and ship more reliably. Jenkins connects to Git and SVN repositories and to almost any build environment. We run Jenkins for you on your own managed server with guaranteed resources. See our Jenkins servers
Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD?
Jenkins is very flexible and can be connected to almost any environment – ideal if you use existing build tools, SVN repositories or custom pipelines. If you use Git anyway, a GitLab server offers repositories, merge requests and CI/CD in one tool, with no extra system to maintain. We provide both solutions on servers in Germany. We are happy to discuss personally which one suits your team better. Ask for advice
What is a GitLab runner?
A GitLab runner executes the jobs of your GitLab pipelines: it picks up jobs from GitLab, builds and tests your software and reports the result back. The runner opens the connection itself, so your GitLab needs no access to the runner. With your own runner on a root vServer you get guaranteed performance for your builds, whether your project lives on GitLab.com, on a GitLab server with us or with you. We take care of the setup. GitLab runner
How do I check code quality in the pipeline?
With SonarQube: the SonarScanner runs as a step in your GitLab or Jenkins pipeline and reports bugs, code smells, duplications, test coverage and security-relevant code to your SonarQube server. A quality gate shows whether a change meets your quality rules and can stop the pipeline. We run SonarQube on your own managed server in Germany. Code quality
Can build results appear in the team chat?
Yes. Jenkins and GitLab send messages about builds, pipelines and merge requests via webhooks to a team chat such as Mattermost. If you run a Mattermost server with us, we set up the connection for you by arrangement. Your team then sees failed builds immediately in the right channel and can react right away, without switching between several tools.
Can you install further tools?
Yes. On our servers we install and configure Jenkins plugins, build tools or integrations with your repositories and ticket systems by arrangement. This gives you a complete development environment from a single provider – with repositories, project management and continuous integration. Just get in touch: our specialists will work out with you personally which tools you need and which server size suits your pipelines.
Where are the servers located?
In German data centres. LCube itself is certified to ISO/IEC 27001, and operation is GDPR compliant. Your source code, build artefacts and deployment credentials therefore stay in Germany – an important point for companies with compliance requirements. Our team is based in Germany too: when you have questions, you reach experienced specialists rather than a call centre. We have been providing hosting for businesses since 1995.
