Mattermost offers channels for projects and topics, direct messages, file sharing and search – in the browser, as a desktop app or on mobile. We install the free Team Edition on your own managed virtual server in Germany and, if you wish, connect GitLab, Jenkins or Redmine.

What is Mattermost?

Which Mattermost edition do you install?
We install the free Mattermost Team Edition, the open-source version of Mattermost. It includes channels, direct messages, file sharing, search and integrations via webhooks and plugins. If you need features of the paid editions, you purchase the licence from the vendor Mattermost – we then set it up on your server by arrangement. Do I get root access?
No. The servers are managed servers: you work via SSH and in the Mattermost system console, and we handle installation, updates and monitoring. This keeps the server secure and up to date. Because we take responsibility for secure operation, root access is not included. For you this means no effort for patches and maintenance, and more time for your projects. If you need additional software or a special configuration, our specialists set it up for you by arrangement.
Can you install additional applications?
Yes. We install and configure integrations for GitLab, Jenkins or Redmine, bots or your Enterprise licence by arrangement. This turns your server into a complete development and project environment, looked after by a single provider. It is important that the server has enough resources for all applications – we are happy to recommend the right size. What is the contract term?
The minimum term is 3 months. You order your Mattermost server conveniently via our order form, and we set up the server and Mattermost for you. All prices are monthly and include 19% VAT; alternatively you can pay yearly – you will find the yearly prices with each plan. If you have questions about the contract or the right server size, our specialists are happy to advise you personally.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, you can move to a larger server at any time. If your team grows or the load increases, you can switch from VMM150 to VMM250, for example, and get more CPU cores, memory and NVMe storage. That way you start with the size you need today. For even higher requirements we run your server with high availability on our own VEP Cloud on request. Get in touch – we plan the switch together with you.
Where are the servers located?
In German data centres. LCube itself is certified to ISO/IEC 27001, and operation is GDPR compliant. Your server runs on brand-name hardware with unlimited traffic and is backed up daily. Our team is based in Germany too – when you have questions, you reach experienced specialists rather than a call centre. We have been providing hosting for businesses since 1995 and know what secure development and project environments require.
