Frequently asked questions about web server security
Do I need Imunify360 and Cloudflare?
The two complement each other. Cloudflare filters attacks and DDoS traffic before they reach your server and speeds up your website. Imunify360 protects the server itself: it detects malware in files and databases, fends off attacks on logins and web applications and stops malicious scripts. Using only one level leaves a gap – for example injected malware that Cloudflare does not see, or load peaks that overwhelm the server.
How much does Cloudflare cost?
Cloudflare offers a free plan as well as the paid plans Pro, Business and Enterprise with additional features such as extended WAF rules and bot protection. You will find the current prices directly on the Cloudflare website; you book the plan there yourself. We support you in choosing, set up Cloudflare for your domains and configure DNS, SSL, caching and firewall rules.
What happens when Imunify360 finds malware?
The malware scanner checks files and databases regularly and whenever they change. If it finds malicious code or web shells, it cleans the affected files and reports the finding. Proactive Defense additionally stops scripts that behave maliciously while they are running. We review the alerts, help find the cause – such as an outdated plugin – and close the gap together with you.
Does Imunify360 work with WordPress and other CMS?
Yes. Imunify360 protects all websites on the server, regardless of the system used – whether WordPress, Joomla, Shopware or your own PHP applications. The web application firewall fends off typical attacks on content management systems, and the malware scanner detects injected code in themes and plugins. For WordPress websites we are happy to add our WordPress hosting with the WordPress Toolkit and daily backups.
Can I also use Imunify360 on my own server?
We use Imunify360 on servers at LCube that we operate with Plesk – from managed vServers to dedicated servers. This lets us take over setup, updates and monitoring completely. Cloudflare, on the other hand, we also set up for websites running with other providers. Contact us and we will be happy to check which solution suits your environment.
