Why do you recommend VNC250 for most teams?
As soon as several colleagues edit documents in the browser at the same time, memory requirements rise considerably. With 4 CPU cores and 8 GB RAM, VNC250 offers enough headroom for Nextcloud, office in the browser and syncing all devices, so the interface stays responsive even at peak times. For teams of up to about 50 users it is therefore the balanced choice between performance and price.
Can I connect users from our directory service?
Nextcloud can take over users and groups from a directory service such as LDAP or Active Directory, so your employees log in with their usual credentials. Whether and how your directory can be connected depends on your infrastructure, for example whether it is reachable from the internet or via VPN. We plan the setup together with you by arrangement.
Do I get root access?
No. VNC250 is a managed server: we handle installation, updates and monitoring, so root access is not included. You manage Nextcloud conveniently via the web interface, where you create users, groups and shares. For you this means no effort for patches and maintenance. If you need additional Nextcloud apps or a special configuration, we set them up for you by arrangement.
What is the contract term?
The minimum term is 3 months. VNC250 costs 89,25 € per month or 1.017,45 € per year, both including 19% VAT. 100 GB storage is included, and each additional 50 GB costs 3,57 € per month. Can I switch later?
Yes. If your team grows or more colleagues use office in the browser, you move to a larger Nextcloud server. Your files, users and shares are kept. You expand the storage independently of this in steps of 50 GB. For very large or business-critical environments we run Nextcloud with high availability on our VEP Cloud on request.
