The foundation of our web hosting, our servers and our cloud are highly secure data centres in Germany. Redundant power and network connections, well-designed fire protection and strictly controlled access ensure that your applications are available around the clock. Your data does not leave Germany, and operation is GDPR compliant.
We take care of the secure operation of the systems ourselves: LCube is certified to ISO/IEC 27001. On this infrastructure we also run our own cloud platform, the Virtuozzo Enterprise Cloud, for highly available and business-critical applications. Where are LCube's servers located?
Our servers are located exclusively in data centres in Germany. Your data does not leave Germany and is subject to German and European data protection law. Operation is GDPR compliant, and we are happy to provide you with a data processing agreement. This applies to our web hosting as well as to managed vServers, root servers and our own cloud platform, the Virtuozzo Enterprise Cloud.
What happens in the event of a power failure?
If the public grid fails, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) take over the supply of all systems without interruption. If the outage lasts longer, emergency generators start and keep operations running until the regular supply is restored. The power supply is designed redundantly, so your applications remain available even if individual components fail or are being serviced.
How is the data centre connected to the internet?
The data centre is connected redundantly to several major carriers and to central internet exchanges. If a line or a provider fails, traffic is automatically routed over the remaining connections. This keeps your websites and applications available even when individual networks are disrupted, and your visitors benefit from short routes and fast loading times.
How is my data protected against attacks?
The network is monitored by intrusion detection and prevention systems that continuously analyse traffic and automatically take countermeasures in the event of attacks. DDoS attacks can, if necessary, be fended off at carrier level. In addition, we keep our systems up to date, use firewalls and monitor servers and services around the clock. Physically, access control and security staff protect the hardware.
What does LCube's ISO 27001 certification mean?
LCube itself is certified to ISO/IEC 27001. This means that not only the data centre but also our own processes for operating your systems follow an audited information security management system: clear responsibilities, regular risk assessments and independent audits.
