Product advisor – which plan suits you?
A website for your club, an online shop, your own web application or a server in the cloud: answer a few short questions and our product advisor recommends the right plan – with price, a short explanation and an alternative. You need no technical knowledge and no account.
Your answers are evaluated directly in your browser. Only when you ask for advice do you send us your details – then a personal contact gets back to you. If no standard solution fits, we plan an individual one together with you.
Frequently asked questions about the product advisor
How does the product advisor work?
First you choose what you are planning, for example a website for your club or an online shop. Then you answer two to four short questions about scope, technology and availability. From your answers the advisor determines the right plan using fixed rules and shows it with the price, the most important features and an alternative. You can go back and change answers at any time.
What happens to my answers?
Your answers are only evaluated in your browser and not transferred to us. Only when you choose “Ask for advice” in the result and submit the form do we receive your name, contact details and message as well as your answers and the recommendation shown, so that we can advise you specifically. You can find more information in our privacy policy.
Is the recommendation binding?
No. The recommendation is guidance based on your details and our product data. Sizes such as team size or visitor numbers are guidelines. When your project grows, you move to a larger plan later. If you are unsure, talk to our specialists – by phone on +49 5132 92197-0 or via the form in the result.
What if no plan fits?
Then the advisor shows you personal advice instead of a plan. Many projects can be solved individually, such as highly available environments on our VEP Cloud, dedicated servers or special software. On request we also create your website and prepare an individual quote for it. Simply describe your project in the enquiry form.
Can I try the recommended plan first?
For many plans, yes. You can try web hosting, WordPress, Joomla and Java plans free for one month and shop hosting for two weeks. Git hosting, GitLab, ReposOnly, ReposDev, Redmine and Kubernetes have their own trials. If there is a trial for your recommended plan, the advisor shows the matching “Try for free” button directly in the result.
