A SonarQube server gives you your own server with guaranteed resources and a fully set-up SonarQube – we handle installation, updates and backup.
We install the free SonarQube Community Build with PostgreSQL on your own managed virtual server in Germany. The SonarScanner runs in GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins and reports the results to your server – also for projects on GitLab.com. If you wish, we set up a commercial licence from Sonar.

What is SonarQube?
SonarQube is a platform for static code analysis. It checks source code in around 20 programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PHP, C# and Go, for bugs, code smells, duplications and security-relevant code and shows the test coverage. Quality gates define when a change meets your quality rules. We run SonarQube on your own managed server in Germany and handle updates and backup. More on code quality
Which SonarQube edition do you install?
We install the free SonarQube Community Build. It analyses the main branch of your projects, shows bugs, code smells, duplications, test coverage and security hotspots and offers quality gates. Analysis of individual branches and merge requests as well as further languages such as C and C++ are only available in Sonar's commercial editions. How do I connect SonarQube to GitLab or Jenkins?
Using the SonarScanner, which runs as a step in your pipeline. In GitLab CI/CD you add a job to your .gitlab-ci.yml; in Jenkins you use the SonarQube plugin. The scanner analyses the source code on the runner or build agent and sends the results via HTTPS to your SonarQube server. If the quality gate fails, the pipeline can stop. We are happy to connect SonarQube to your projects for you by arrangement. CI/CD
Do I get root access?
No. The servers are managed servers: you work via SSH and in the SonarQube web interface, and we handle installation, updates and monitoring. This keeps the server secure and up to date. Because we take responsibility for secure operation, root access is not included. For you this means no effort for patches and maintenance, and more time for your projects. If you need additional software or a special configuration, our specialists set it up for you by arrangement.
Can you install additional applications?
Yes. We install and configure SonarQube plugins, your commercial licence or the integration with GitLab and Jenkins by arrangement. This turns your server into a complete development and project environment, looked after by a single provider. It is important that the server has enough resources for all applications – we are happy to recommend the right size. For special requirements we also design your environment individually, for example with high availability on our VEP Cloud. Send an enquiry
What is the contract term?
The minimum term is 3 months. You order your SonarQube server conveniently via our order form, and we set up the server and SonarQube for you. All prices are monthly and include 19% VAT; alternatively you can pay yearly – you will find the yearly prices with each plan. If you have questions about the contract or the right server size, our specialists are happy to advise you personally.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, you can move to a larger server at any time. If your team grows or the load increases, you can switch from VSQ250 to VSQ350, for example, and get more CPU cores, memory and NVMe storage. That way you start with the size you need today. For even higher requirements we run your server with high availability on our own VEP Cloud on request. Get in touch – we plan the switch together with you.
Where are the servers located?
In German data centres. LCube itself is certified to ISO/IEC 27001, and operation is GDPR compliant. Your server runs on brand-name hardware with unlimited traffic and is backed up daily. Our team is based in Germany too – when you have questions, you reach experienced specialists rather than a call centre. We have been providing hosting for businesses since 1995 and know what secure development and project environments require.
