Is the Micropaket enough for my project?
The Micropaket is designed for 1 domain with 200 MB storage and 5 mailboxes. That suits most projects of this size. If you need more domains, mailboxes or storage, you can move to a larger plan at any time without data loss. Our specialists are happy to advise you on the right plan for your project.
Can I test the Micropaket for free first?
Yes. You can test the Micropaket free of charge and without obligation for one month: click “Try free for 1 month” or tick the trial option in the order form. During the trial you check whether 1 domain, 200 MB of storage and 5 mailboxes are enough for your project. After the trial period you receive an email. If you want to continue, book the Micropaket for 0,60 € per month incl. VAT – your data and access details are kept. If you do not reply, the trial plan is deleted and there are no costs. One trial plan is possible per customer.
Can I use the Micropaket for email only?
Yes. Many customers use the Micropaket exclusively for their own domain and up to five mailboxes. You get professional addresses under your company name, IMAP push on all devices and webmail. You do not have to run a website. If you later need more mailboxes or a website with a database, you move to the PowerPaket without data loss.
Is 200 MB of storage enough for my website?
For a static website made of HTML, CSS and images, 200 MB is usually plenty – a typical business-card website needs only a few megabytes. Keep in mind that emails also use storage. If you plan a CMS such as WordPress, a blog or many images, we recommend the PowerPaket with 20 GB of storage and MySQL databases.
Can I install WordPress or Joomla?
WordPress or Joomla need a database, which is not included in the Micropaket. MySQL databases are available from the PowerPaket upwards. Even more convenient is our WordPress web hosting or Joomla hosting with a toolkit for installing, updating and securing your website. We are happy to advise you.
Can I use Ruby on Rails or Node.js?
Ruby, Ruby on Rails and Node.js require SSH access and are therefore included in the Business plans. The Micropaket supports PHP 7.4 to 8.x, CGI and Perl. If you want to run Ruby or Node.js applications, choose the BusinessPaket or BusinessPaket Pro – you can switch at any time without data loss. More about Ruby and Node.js
Can I run Laravel with the Micropaket?
Laravel applications usually need a database, which is not included in the Micropaket. The Laravel Toolkit in Plesk is therefore available from the PowerPaket upwards – with MySQL databases, Composer, Artisan commands, the scheduler and deployment from Git in the web interface. You can switch at any time without data loss; your domain and mailboxes are kept.
Can I build my website with a website builder?
Sitejet Builder, our website builder with an AI assistant, is included from the PowerPaket upwards. In the Micropaket you publish a simple website by uploading ready-made HTML files. If you want to design your website by drag and drop without programming skills, move to the PowerPaket – at any time and without data loss; your domain and mailboxes are kept. How is my data backed up?
We back up your websites and data daily. In addition, they are stored redundantly on brand-name hardware, so even the failure of a single component does not lead to data loss. The hosting servers run as a highly available cluster: if one machine fails, the second takes over almost instantly. This keeps your website reliably available.
Can I move from the Micropaket to a larger plan later?
Yes, at any time. If 1 domain, 200 MB of storage and 5 mailboxes are no longer enough, you move to the PowerPaket with 2 domains, 20 GB of storage and 20 mailboxes.
