What do I do if even the VS450 is no longer enough?
With 16 CPU cores, 32 GB RAM and 640 GB NVMe the VS450 is our largest root vServer. If your project needs even more power, there are two routes: a dedicated server with its own hardware just for you, or our VEP Cloud with flexible resources and clustering for highly available applications. Our specialists plan the move together with you.
Is a CDN worthwhile in addition to the VS450?
For busy websites, yes. A content delivery network delivers images, scripts and files – worldwide or from Germany – and noticeably relieves your server. This keeps the 16 cores of the VS450 free for what only your server can do: dynamic content, database queries and application logic. At the same time, your pages load faster for visitors.
Do I get full root access on the VS450?
Yes. With the VS450 you have full root access and therefore full control over operating system, software and configuration. This also means you are responsible for updates and security yourself; on request we install the package updates with our update service for 11,90 € per month (RPM-based: AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CentOS Stream, Fedora). If you prefer to hand over operation completely, the managed vServer VSM450 with the same 16 cores and 32 GB RAM is the right alternative: there we take care of installation, updates and monitoring.
What is the contract term for the VS450?
The minimum term is 3 months. The VS450 costs 170,16 € per month or 2.041,89 € per year, each including VAT. The VS450 is our largest Root vServer. If you need more power, we plan a dedicated server or a solution on the VEP Cloud with you. When ordering, you can also add Plesk Web Admin, Web Pro or Web Host and a backup for convenient management of your websites, databases and mailboxes.
