In addition, DLP and GenAI Protection protect confidential data, and RMM takes care of inventory, patch management and remote maintenance. All modules run in the same Acronis console as your backup and are booked per device.

The endpoint modules are booked per device in addition to the Acronis licence for the device, for example workstation 6,35 € or server 44,87 € (see Acronis Backup).

Frequently asked questions about endpoint security
Which protection level do I need – EDR, XDR or MDR?
EDR is the foundation for every business: it monitors your endpoints and responds automatically to attacks. We recommend XDR if you use Microsoft 365 and want to include email and user accounts in detection. MDR pays off if you have no security team of your own: security experts then assess the alerts around the clock and respond to real threats.
How are the endpoint modules billed?
The modules are charged per device and month and booked in addition to the Acronis licence for the respective device. A workstation with backup and EDR, for example, costs 6,35 € plus 1,86 €, i.e. 8,21 € per month including VAT. You can combine the modules freely and choose differently for individual devices – for example MDR for servers and EDR for workstations.
What is the difference between MDR Standard and Advanced?
With MDR Standard, security experts monitor your systems around the clock, analyse and assess security events and report real threats. MDR Advanced adds more intensive analysis and extended support with the response: the experts help with complex attack scenarios, investigate incidents and contain threats faster. Advanced is suited to higher security and compliance requirements.
How does RMM help in everyday IT?
RMM discovers your devices automatically and creates an inventory of hardware and software. Patch management updates operating systems and applications centrally, closing many security gaps before they are exploited. Monitoring reports problems early, and with remote maintenance we fix faults without having to be on site. This saves time and increases the security of your entire IT.
Does GenAI Protection protect against risks from AI tools?
Yes. When staff use AI services such as chatbots or text generators, confidential data can leave the company unnoticed. GenAI Protection detects potential security and data protection risks when using such tools and helps you enforce clear rules. Combined with DLP you keep control over which information is allowed to leave your endpoints.
