Plesk – manage servers and websites securely
Plesk is the control panel for Linux web servers: you manage websites, domains, email, databases and SSL certificates conveniently in one interface. At the same time Plesk brings important security features – from free Let’s Encrypt certificates and Fail2Ban against brute-force attacks to the ModSecurity web application firewall.
At LCube you get all three Plesk editions as a licence for servers and VPS. On managed vServers you add Plesk directly when ordering. In addition we offer all Plesk extensions and feature modules, from the Power Pack to security packages from third-party vendors.

The three Plesk editions
The editions differ mainly in the number of domains and the scope of the WP Toolkit. Every edition is available as a licence for dedicated servers and as a VPS licence for virtual servers.
Plesk Web Admin

Frequently asked questions about Plesk
Which Plesk edition do I need?
That depends mainly on the number of domains. Web Admin is sufficient for up to 10 domains, for example a company's own websites. Web Pro is intended for developers and agencies with up to 30 domains and includes the full WP Toolkit. Web Host offers unlimited domains and suits large agency servers and hosting businesses. We are happy to advise you personally on the right edition.
What is the difference between a server and a VPS licence?
The feature set is the same. However, the VPS licence can only be used on a virtual server, while the server licence works on dedicated and virtual servers. For a vServer or a server in the VEP Cloud the VPS licence is therefore sufficient, and for Web Host it is also cheaper. For your own hardware you need the server licence. If you have questions about your server, we are happy to help.
How secure is a server with Plesk?
Plesk already includes many protective features: free SSL certificates from Let’s Encrypt, Fail2Ban against brute-force attacks, the ModSecurity web application firewall and a firewall. The WP Toolkit also checks WordPress installations for vulnerabilities. For additional protection add Imunify360 with a malware scanner and Proactive Defense. What remains crucial is that Plesk and the system are updated regularly.
Can I add Plesk extensions?
Yes, we offer all Plesk extensions and feature modules – from packs such as the Power Pack and Developer Pack through Smart Updates for WordPress and Plesk Email Security to third-party security solutions such as Advanced ModSecurity Rules or CloudLinux. Simply tell us which extension you would like, we will send you a quote and activate it for your licence.
